VMP in U-tube out!
Uploading our videos to utube and presenting our products, services, etc is part of the norm. However if you have intellectual property that you don't want the world to see, even if you 'unlist' the video on utube- if someone is passed on the link, they will still have access to your material. You could probably use Vimeo which you'll have to pay for and your material is only accessible via a password. However Vimeo is no where close to the 'new kid' on the block.
I was looking for a platform where I could input my course material with an access username and password, so on purchase, people could create their log in and access the course material that they've paid for. A membership scenario.
I came across a video management platform called EP2P and wanted to share some of the benefits that this platform has to offer. I found out that a big pharmaceutical company won an award for how they educated their customers on their products, increased sales all through using EP2P. So I took a look. This VMP not only keeps your video/intellectual property safe but it offers a whole new ball game.
Let me tell you how this corporate company did this. Firstly they wanted to increase sales of their pharmaceutical product as well as increase their reach. Presenting products to the doctors can be time consuming as one has to make an appointment and depending on where you stay, many hours are spent in the traffic, so your reach is very limited per day/month. What they did was use EP2P to connect with the doctors in their own time. Each couple of days a new product was exposed in video format and the doctors could log in and watch this video anytime - saving time in the day and not having a rep take up a patients appointment time.
You might be thinking that this could easily be achieved on utube or any other video platform, but the different is the engagement, interaction, analysis and reporting. No other video platform offers this. Each time a doctor logged in, his activity on each page was recorded, the amount of time he spent on that page, how long he watched the video, did he watch the whole video and how many times did he return to the site to rewatch that video.
The reporting aspect is phenomenal. Each time a new product video or specialist presentation was put up, the doctor receives and sms notification. The doctors are also rewarded for their activity on the site, since everything is monitored, measured and reported on, those who really use the site are rewarded through the competition model included in this model.
Rewards could be medical equipment, products, airtime - anything really that's relevant. Because it was easy and informative, the results were amazing and the company achieved sales increase as well as reach increase. But to add the cherry on top, with each video, the doctors are asked questions that they have to answer on that page before going to the next video and they can also add their own questions or comments on the same page. This strengthened their connection to the platform and the product.
This is one case study that stood out for me but there are many different uses for this platform. Especially if you have a pre-site visit scenario - your appointment could pre-register and take the site test before arriving at the site. This saves the visitor from having to achieve entry approval before being allowed on site.
Or for instance, if you want to have your employees e.g. security, construction, heavy equipment, etc - to do their training in their own time - this can be achieved and work hours can be saved. The amazing thing about this is that the employees responses can be marked and the results sent to management - in this way companies can establish where the weaknesses are within the company or department.
This platform is really open to any customization - you might want to train your new employees up on working terms and conditions or safety regulations, absolutely anything can fly.
