6 Reasons Why You Should Start Your Own Internet Business!

Most people are ‘blind-sited’ when it comes to opening their own internet business. This is purely out of ignorance or maybe even fear of the unknown.

Again, most people think that they have to give up their jobs or whatever they are doing to run an online business – this is not true!

The reality is that there are so many different ways to do a business online which you can run as a part-time business from home and you don’t have to give up your monthly income that you are receiving from your full time job, in fact I wouldn’t advise you to give up any income before you are making a substantial amount of money through your online business.

Another reality is that you also don’t have to worry about time. Most people think that they can’t do an internet business because they don’t have time. This is a closed mind-set. You have all the time in the world, you just have to realize this and put things into action. Today’s world of automation allows you to generate an online income whilst you sleep.

Just think of it this way. When we have household items that we want to sell what do we do? We look for a platform to sell these items on that doesn’t take too much effort from us. We post the article and we wait for a buyer to contact us. So how is this any different from owning your own site where you sell your items or someone else’s items? No Difference!

You have so many options of automated products out there that life is made easier and it really is just a click of a button.

Still concerned? Yeah? maybe you are still concerned because you haven’t taken the time to really have a good look at what is available for you online. We think that because we don’t know how to do it that we shouldn’t do it. Let me advise you on this. In South Africa alone people are being retrenched every day. Businesses are going under and closing down and people are sent out there after 40 years of service to fend for themselves. Most look at this as a negative thing and rightfully so when you are oblivious to what you can do for yourself. Start now because 'you want to' rather than wait for the moment that 'you have to'.

Think about it. For example, as an Internet business owner, you could:

  • Sell your private/personal items online- we do this already anyway

  • Run an informative site that generates revenue through advertisements – we share peoples stuff anyway

  • Provide professional services to clients around the world (like I do)

  • Generate client leads for offline businesses- these can be sold

  • Sell other peoples’ products and earn a commission for each referral – affiliation selling and marketing is big at this moment.

I know that the “how” of an internet business is overwhelming but what really matters is the “why” you should consider pursuing an online business.

I have listed a few of the benefits and hopefully these will encourage you to look at pursuing this amazing opportunity.

Reason #1 – Get ultimate job security

The common comment most make about opening an online business is “it’s too risky”. What’s riskier than putting 40 years into a company that is never going to be yours?

Considering how many companies go under these days, putting all your eggs in that single basket ultimately sounds much riskier to me than learning how to make money online! When you learn how to do business online, you’re actually up-skilling yourself to create ultimate job security. This is your business and the outcome depends solely on you and no one else.

Reason #2 – Do things that you’re passionate about

In traditional business you are told what to do, how to do it and when to do it. You can’t go off on your own and create something that you are passionate about because in a job you’re completing tasks in order to increase somebody else’s bottom line. Most of you don’t know what you’re missing out on. I know that you know that you have something that you are passionate about, that you’ve had to push to the back of your mind because you’ve been told that you are a dreamer and dreamers don’t make money – well it’s time to re-assess this.

If you aren’t personally satisfied by your current day job, you owe it to yourself to at least investigate the potential fulfillment that comes from running your own online enterprise.

Reason #3 – Grow your network of clients and buyers

If in your offline business, you either sell products, services or takes on freelance clients (for example, as a freelance writer, web designer, programmer or accountant), transitioning your business online will give you access to a much larger network of clients and buyers. As an Internet business owner, you’re free to think as big as you want, grow as big as you want even go international which will expand your business reach dramatically.

Reason #4 – Enjoy the Flexibility

When you work a day job, you’re tied in to a set schedule that in no way corresponds to the amount of work you have, how productive you are, or whether it suits you or not. One of the greatest advantages of running your own Internet business is the flexibility this arrangement provides.

Running an online business gives you the flexibility to set your own working arrangements based on your particular needs. It allows you to travel more (as most Internet businesses can be operated from anywhere in the world), to work when you’re most productive and to pursue the hobbies and interests you care about alongside your business pursuits.

What I have found over the years of running my own online business is that the basic fact is that you actually do more work at home than you ever do in a normal 8-5 job, even with the fact that you can be flexible.

Reason #5 – Enjoy low startup costs

Starting an online business is so much cheaper than starting a traditional business in the real world. Think about it – the “real world” business owner must pay for commercial space, physical inventory, printed stationery, employees and more.

As an Internet business owner, your only real expenses will be a domain name and hosting account. Even if you do decide to purchase inventory outright or invest in tools that will make running your Internet business easier, your overall investment will still be much less expensive than maintaining a physical presence offline. Basically much is for fr.ee now-a-days, even a website can be done for fr.ee.

See some examples of fr.ee products:

SMSDIY 100% fr.ee

Wix plus most widgets

Wordpress plus most widgets

Mystery Marketing lots of fr.ee tools & great start-up products that you can make your own.

Reason #6 – Increase your earning potential

Today earning potential is based on your monthly salary. Gone are the days of overtime, most companies have cut this. Yearly increases are below cost of living. Even with all the experience and certifications – you’re still never going to hit the same million dollar salaries that investment bankers or lawyers will. But with online business, the sky’s the limit.

If you sell one product online, you can train yourself to sell fifty. Instead of negotiating a pithy 6% raise with your boss, you’re can essentially create this increase or whatever increase you want for yourself and in less time on the internet.

So there are no excuses. I have many clients who are online and who give away so many business tools for you to start your own business.

Take a giant step forward and change your income, change your life.
